Before thinking about replacement, the first sensible step is a full reset. Leaving the appliance without power for about 20 minutes helps discharge temporary memory and rules out specific lockups caused by voltage spikes or momentary software errors. If the code disappears and does not return, there was room for relief. If it reappears immediately, the problem already points to the board, a connector, or damaged internal communication.

Moisture and small electrical fluctuations are silent enemies of electronics. A dryer works in a harsh environment: heat, steam, vibration, and long cycles. It is not uncommon for a board to start failing intermittently before producing a stable error.
