On older models or similar versions, the same problem may appear as E18. The practical meaning is equivalent: water remains in the appliance or draining is too slow. A restart may clear a temporary reading, but it cannot remove a physical blockage or repair a worn component.

The filter, hose and pump are the main causes

Stop using the appliance if it retains water after several attempts, if the door remains locked or if the error appears on every program.
