What the E18 code means on a Balay washing machine

The warning usually appears during draining or spinning, when the system detects that the water level is not falling within the expected time. On some models from the BSH group, which includes Balay, it may also appear as F18. The practical meaning is the same: there is a problem in the drainage circuit, not an indication related to temperature or detergent.

The first signs are often soaking-wet clothes, water visible in the drum or a door that remains locked. Do not force the door: the lock prevents water from escaping.
