What the E16 code means on a Balay washing machine

If either signal fails to reach the control module, E16 appears. This is not a detergent, motor or drain problem, but an issue located in the locking system.

Opening the cabinet without experience is not a safe household repair: the machine must remain unplugged, and the door interlock should never be bypassed to force operation.
