How to eliminate F23 error in Whirlpool dryer?

• Error: F23
• Description: A compressor failure was detected in heat pump dryer models – output thermistor failure
• Cause: 
• Solution: Perform the temperature test and verify using the previous service test procedure – The control detects an electrically open output thermistor (temperature sensor). Unplug the dryer and verify the resistance of that thermistor, which should be approximately 10,000 ohm. If the output thermistor is defective, replace it.
