4. Drain-related issues that affect inlet readings
Although it seems unrelated, a badly installed drain can cause siphoning, backflow or premature emptying that confuses the level detection. If the drain hose is too low, poorly curved or constricted, the appliance may think it is not filling even when water is entering.

Typical internal causes are a sticking or partially opening solenoid valve, a faulty pressure switch, or a defective flow meter. Intermittent behavior (works sometimes, fails other times) usually points to sensors, connectors, or intermittent electrical faults.
These components require technical diagnosis: measuring coil resistance, checking continuity of connectors, testing the flow sensor pulses, and inspecting the control board for damaged traces or corrosion. Do not attempt extensive electrical work unless you have the proper skills and safety measures.
