Balay uses electronic codes to report faults that may not be visible from the outside. In some product series, E26 appears when the hob detects an abnormal condition in the power module, excessive heat in its components or a supply voltage outside the expected range.

For this reason, there is no universal interpretation that applies to every hob from the brand.
