That lockout is not the manufacturer being fussy. A boiler without the right pressure can work like a bicycle with a flat tire: it moves, but it suffers, loses performance, and ends up damaging internal parts. The inspection also includes listening. A circuit with air produces hollow sounds, light knocks, or gurgling. If the installation is in a home with several circuits or is quite old, previous maintenance matters even more. Seals age, valves lose accuracy, and small losses multiply like fine cracks in glass. How to restore pressure without stressing the installation
When the problem is only a lack of water, the solution usually involves the filling valve or the equivalent device on the unit. Refilling should be done slowly, watching the value on the display or pressure gauge until it reaches the manufacturer’s recommended range. In many homes, the practical reference is to return to a zone close to 1.2 or 1.5 bar when cold.
The step seems simple, but it requires control. If the filling valve is opened too much and the pressure rises excessively, the system can approach or exceed 2 bar, which does not solve the problem and adds unnecessary strain to the installation.
